Anna has over 25 years experience in the marketing and advertising space, most recently as the Head of Brand Communication for Woolworths. She has developed brands across many industries particularly as part of the executive team for advertising agencies in Melbourne, Sydney and London. She is currently a marketing consultant working from the Northern Beaches and a mum of two little ones.

Gilbert lorquet - fundraising + NFP expert

Gilbert is a social entrepreneur, innovator and influencer. He is passionate about fundraising, football, music, and helping young people. Gilbert has over 20 years experience in marketing, communications, law, fundraising, and philanthropy. Gilbert has spent the past decade involved in virtually every aspect of fundraising, including major gifts, corporate fundraising, bequests, and crowd funding. He has worked in senior roles at the Australian Cancer Research Foundation and JDRF Australia Type 1 Diabetes Research. He joined the Foundation of the Northern Sydney Local Health District as its new CEO in September 2018.

Jamie has worked in advertising and marketing for 35 years in top Sydney, London and New York agencies. His first 9 years encompassed media, production, management and strategy before he moved to the creative side in 1994. Over the next 9 years he went on to win over 50 local and International creative awards, work at renowned NY creative agency - Fallon, guest lecture at the Miami Ad School and New York School of Visual Arts and work across major global brands in his role as a Senior Creative Vice President with FCB New York. In 2003 Jamie put his 18 years of experience to the test and founded Workshop Australia, a strategic and creative branding agency he started in an old factory in Surry Hills. Listed as one of BRW’s Hot 75 Start-ups in just 3 years, Workshop is now in its 17th year and partners some of the biggest (and smallest brands) around the world from its new office in Newport. Jamie also runs a local upmarket eco-tourism brand, sits on the board of a philanthropic Agri Fintech start-up and is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course.  Jamie and his wife Ingrid have raised their 3 children (Indiana 23, Jye 21 and Fin 16) and 2 dogs on the Northern Beaches where they have lived for over 25 years.

Julie is a successful Human Resources, Organisational Development and Change professional with over 20 years experience. Prior to consulting, she was the HR Director, Asia Pacific, for a global Financial Services Organisation. She has extensive experience across multiple types of Industries including Banking and Financial Services, Superannuation, Oil and Gas, Public Sectors Agencies and NFP.


associate professor kirsten morley - mental health expert

Associate Professor Kirsten Morley is a Senior Research Fellow at The University of Sydney, Faculty of Medicine and Health and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, part of the Centre for Research Excellence in Mental Health and Substance Use. She has been awarded numerous fellowships and grants for her research which includes evaluating interventions for alcohol problems and the prevention of suicide through to the development of training programs for drug and alcohol psychologists to improve management of mental disorders. She is a research mentor for the Community Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Research Network. She also develops and coordinates postgraduate courses in Population Mental Health for the Masters of Public Health degree and Addiction in the Masters of Psychiatry degree at the University of Sydney.

jan wiseman - accounting expert

Jan is a long-term resident of Avalon and an active participant in the Northern Beaches community. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants and has recently retired after thirty years of private practice. During her time in private practice she looked after the financial and taxation requirements of a variety of companies, trusts, super funds, and sole traders.

Leanne is the co-founder of One Eighty. Prior to One Eighty Leanne worked in Operations Management, Business Management, and Administration.


LES GALBRAITH - business expert

Les has been in front line operational, sales and direct line management for over 35 years. Les spent 20 years at American Express in their card, travel and traveller’s cheque divisions, and his last role was Vice President of Corporate Card and Business Travel Australia and New Zealand. Les has recently worked in a number of change management and consulting roles in the marine manufacturing, pharmaceutical, travel franchising and financial services industry. He joined Spartan Sports 3 years ago to lead the brand’s international development and major business transformation strategy. Les has been active in a number of charities, and is currently a member of the board of Pittwater House School at Collaroy.

Ken is the Managing Director and majority shareholder of Principle Advisory Services, an Australian based capital sourcing and strategy firm. Principle acts for Australian and international investment managers and advisors to help them establish and manage working relationships with Australian Institutional Investors and family offices.  Ken has over 26 years’ financial services. He has also held senior management positions with Lend Lease, Deutsche Asset Management, and CP2.  Ken has been a Board Member of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (NSW) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Queensland.


liz whyte - mental health expert

Liz is a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Training Facilitator, and Training Specialist. As a result of her own experience with suicide bereavement and trauma Liz is passionate about mental health and emotional wellbeing. Liz believes that education in mental health, suicide, self-harm and interpersonal communication can enable individuals to develop the life skills and understanding required to have meaningful conversations with family, friends, and colleagues, and thereby reduce stigma, provide support and save lives.
