Clare is a recently graduated anthropology and psychology student with a direct interest in sexology. She is also a part-time research assistant for a PhD candidate looking at abortion stigma. She is an advocator for mental health awareness, having being diagnosed with Bipolar Type II at the age of 17 years old. She is passionate about creating transparency in patient/practitioner relationships, reducing stigma against mental illness and self-harm, as well as representation and diversity among support services.
Clare is a proud lesbian woman who hopes to improve the inclusivity of current sex education programs in Australia. She believes organisations such as One Eighty are crucial for social change and the push towards acceptance over tolerance.
