HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Nothing! It is and will always be free.

WILL I BE ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS?
Nope! It's pretty chilled. Just take a seat, grab a cuppa tea, and participate if and when you want to.

WILL I HAVE TO GET UP AND SPEAK IN FRONT OF PEOPLE?
Nope! Sessions are basically just a casual round-table discussion, with the stated option to just listen. At no point will you be asked to share stories with the group. If sharing is something you’re comfortable doing, then the opportunity is there for you when you’re ready.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Anyone aged 16-30! Come by yourself, or bring a friend. We encourage people of all social groups and genders to come along, even if you’re just there to listen and support others. You do not need to have experienced, or be experiencing, mental ill-health to come along.

WHY SHOULD I COME ALONG?

Why not! If you care about your friends and your community, become a part of the generational shift in approach towards these important issues - simply by showing up. If you don't have any friends - now you do. What have you got to lose?

It is important to remember that Open Up is a community support group, and not a professional mental health care service. If you need extra support, or have further questions about your own mental health, please do not hesitate to reach out to a trained professional at anytime (24/7) at Lifeline on 13 11 14. In cases of emergency, always call 000.
