Jessie is currently completing her psychology honours as part of her BPsych degree at the University of Sydney, having previously graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2018. She is particularly interested in destigmatising conversations around mental health through innovative means. This desire has resulted in many weird and wonderful projects, including writing for a mental health project targeting young Indonesian audiences, producing an interview series on CutCommon Magazine that allows people in the performing arts industry to talk freely about their mental health journeys in a non-judgemental and supportive context, and volunteering at a charity that strategically uses music to inspire conversations about mental health. Jessie is excited to see One Eighty employing non-traditional approaches to mental health care and hopes this community will only grow further from here.
