CCNB Ltd - The Seasons Program

CCNB Ltd has been providing a range of health and community services to locals for over two decades. The Seasons Program has been designed to engage with a person in the first 12 weeks following an attempted suicide. The focus is to link people and their family/friends to services and coordinate supports. The aim is to promote ongoing safety whilst the person is on their recovery journey. Emotional, clinical and practical support is delivered by various partners and all support is coordinated by the Seasons team. There is no charge for this service and it is not means tested. Gordon Private Hospital opened in July 2018 as a response to the growing need for independent leading-edge mental health services in New South Wales. The Hospital provides individualised, flexible and recovery-focused inpatient programs incorporating both psychological and pharmacological treatments. To help patients address their psychological and emotional issues, they draw on a range of therapies – all designed to facilitate recover. Alongside inpatient treatments, they also offer day group programs for those who do not require the intensive care that the inpatient program offers.
GLAM – LGBTIQA+ Youth Support Group
GLAM is a social support group for young people aged 12 to 21 of diverse genders and sexualities. It provides a sense of belonging, an enjoyable space to socialise and learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, build up trust, respect and friendships, have fun, and access support if needed. GLAM provides an environment that is nonjudgmental as well as physically and emotionally safe. You can discuss issues that are important to you, make friends, be yourself and have fun. The group meets one week night a fortnight and has a social and educational focus. On a social level, the group gets out and about for dinner, coffee and movies. The group also participates in planning events and exploring issues on relationships, making connections, sexuality and coming out.

The aim of the Avalon Youth Hub is to connect young people and their community to support services. Using the service is voluntary and free. Appointments can be made by a young person, a friend, family member or support person. After an initial consultation, the hub will then look to connect you with the most appropriate service. The hub also runs free outreach events every Wednesday afternoon, check their social media for up-to-date details.
