OUR STORY AT ONE EIGHTY

Suicide is the leading cause of death for young Australians.

Over 75% of mental health problems occur before the age of 25. Worryingly, we know young people are less likely to seek professional help for their mental health than any other age group.

This is where One Eighty steps in.

At One Eighty, we help young people flip a bad day into a better one. Advocating for youth mental health done differently, we're a youth-led organisation providing accessible peer-to-peer models of community support informed by lived experience of mental ill-health to increase mental health resilience.

In 2017, One Eighty was founded with the goal of providing mental health support to the local Avalon community following a series of youth suicides. Since then, One Eighty has supported thousands of young people (and those who support young people) across Australia through peer support and mental health training.

One Eighty is listed on the register of Harm Prevention Charities and holds Deductible Gift Recipient Status-1.
